AWARD WINNING COMMUNITY
Little Whale Cove, a 140 acre exclusive homesite development near Depoe Bay, Oregon was selected as one of the 99 best residential and recreational private planned communities in America. The award was presented by the Community Associations Institute, a national non-profit membership organization of homeowner associations. Selection was based on several factors, including size, amenities available, location and management.
Developed by the late Carl M. Halvorson, Little Whale Cove is planned for low density housing and high density trees, with all common areas left completely natural. As a General Contractor, Mr. Halvorson built many of the roads and bridges in the Northwest and several dams on the Columbia River. He was the original developer of Black Butte Ranch near Sisters, Oregon, and developed Mountain Park in Lake Oswego, Oregon, in the early 1970's.
